Yesterday morning, I decided to get my nails done. (My real nails) but I do however coat them with acrylic to make them last longer and for them to be stronger. Now usually I will go to Envy Nails located on 169 and Jamaica Ave Queens, NY because they do nails for ten dollars. Once I stepped foot inside, I seen over 50 people waiting to get their nails done and me not having the patience decided to go else where. So there is a new nail salon right next door called Zagim Nails. I wasn't getting a full set, only a fill-in and they charged me ten dollars as well. So, I'm thinking to myself, okay this is great. Plus on top of that, there were way less people in there. I am talking about 2 people the most. I step inside the nail salon at 10:46am and tell me why on earth didn't I leave until 12:06pm. Now I know you are thinking to yourself, you sure there were only 2 people in the nail salon? But boy oh boy am I telling the truth.
They are the most slowest nail salon that I have ever been to in my life. But in the end, I must say that the nail technician that did my hand was very patient and had skills because she did my nails to my likings. The only thing I did not approve of was how she designed them. My friends and family think they look nice but I personally don't like them. I won't complain though because she took her time and thats what mattered. At least I got my monies worth.
Now besides them taking way too long to do nails, the Hispanics were arguing with the Muslims about whose garbage can was whose and who took what. All i could do was shake my head because it was ashame how the were all against the Muslim lady. I could understand where she was coming from because if I was working in the same place with other people, I would want them to respect my personal space and not touch or remove any of my belongings. Of course this is one of the reasons why it took them over an hour to finish my nails.
As a recommendation, I would recommend people to get their nails done from Zagim Nails located on 169-13 Jamaica Ave Queens, NY. However, I will not advise you to let them design your nails. In my opinion, they are not the best.

A Day at Work

Heres what life at work is like on a regular basis. I work with children from grades Pre-K thru 8th Grade. We do homework for one hour, eat snack for 15 minutes, then play until its time for them to go home. Recently, the children have been playing outside due to all the nice weather. We try to be creative as much as possible by not buying game and sport equipment. My boss is very old fashioned but I can relate to what he is saying. He wants the children's brains to be put to work and be creative themselves. I must admit, that they are very smart when it comes to thinking of a fun and learning game for everyone to play. Sometimes, they like to be lazy and just run around playing tag. As for the girls, they hang and sit around all day doing land yard. Take a look for yourself...

Grandma's House
My favorite home is grandma’s house. That is where I grew up. I went to school, made friends, and even had my first tooth pulled out all at grandma’s house. My grandmother is a foster parent and she loves children. In her years she has adopted over 20 children and gave them somewhere to live. Although, she already had a house full with children of her own, she always felt the need to spread the love. I guess I can say at least I was around to witness the great she has done for others. I learned many things growing up in that house. From learning how to swim, to knowing when to behave in school.
The most that I enjoy about my grandmothers house, is that you will always feel loved and appreciated. At grandma’s house, one will never starve because there is always cooking going on. That or either a barbeque. Sometimes parties and even block parties. I don’t see how anyone wouldn’t love it at my grandmother’s house. You don’t have to be her child in order for her to treat you as if you were. She treats all with equality, even her grown children that are in there mid-40’s. Which they too have children...
